Prevent Coronavirus

As the Wuhan coronavirus continues spreading throughout the world, and in the absence of a vaccine or cure, the only known way to eradicate the virus is to isolate yourself and not get infected.

What makes the threat of a pandemic unique is that we cannot see it coming. It can be anywhere people get together, and we would not know it.  If it is your area, the best thing to do is to quarantine yourself a home.

Another option is to use Elderberry syrup to boost your immune system.

In no way is this post meant to be any medical advice or to replace your doctor’s advice! We are not a medical professional and can’t be held responsible for your results/choices/actions.   We are only sharing our experience over six years and the results.

We urge you to do your research into the possible health benefits/side effects of this Elderberry Syrup recipe before using.

The best source is http://coronavirus.gov/

When things start to get bad in your area, it will be too late to get the supplies you need. Be sure to stock up now instead of waiting until it gets worse!  If you HAVE TO GO OUT during the outbreak, a Particle mask is a must … Stock up with them.

Assuming you have access to electricity, water, sewer, and natural gas, food will be your only problem. Stock up on food like you were going to be quarantined for six weeks.

Cost?  You may not have the money to purchase a large amount of food just for quarantine purposes.  Our solution is to purchase food in bulk quality that will last ten years or more and use it every day.

The Sustainable Living Center of Oregon researches and offers FREE WORKSHOPS in the areas of Food, Energy, Water, Shelter and Community Building  for the purpose of becoming sustainable ..

The following free workshops are planned and will be scheduled based on demand.

The Center’s Experience with the Flu

There are no studies of the effect of Elderberry Syrup on the Coronavirus, but two of the members of the Center are over 70 years of age and are using Elderberry instead of a flu shot.  The members have been using our special recipe of Elderberry for the last six (6) years and have never gotten a cold, let alone the flu.

These members take a small amount of Elderberry Syrup every day during flu seasons. Studies have shown that the Elderberry Syrup can improve the  Immunity System

Their special recipe is made with three (3) flavors of honey: Clover, Blackberry, or Wildflower.   All the ingredients are Organic, and all the spices are from Ceylon.

One can purchase the Elderberry Syrup over the counter at your local drug or grocery store in the price range of $2.31 – $3.27/oz.  For example

7.8 oz bottle of Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup online at Walmat.com = $17.39.

7.8 oz Make it yourself = $4.60

Boost Immunity

It seems like people love to discuss elderberries concerning their effects on the immune system. They have certain antibacterial and anti-infectious qualities and is very commonly used to ward off influenza during bad seasons where it seems like everyone is catching it. Furthermore, elderberries can protect against the effects of autoimmune disorders, even alleviating certain symptoms and associated pain of AIDS.

The Center concludes from the below study that, in addition to its antiviral properties, Sambucol Elderberry Extract and its formulations activate the healthy immune system by increasing inflammatory cytokine production. Sambucol might, therefore, be beneficial to the immune system activation and in the inflammatory process in healthy individuals or patients with various diseases.

Study on immune system

Sambucol Elderberry Extract is natural remedies with antiviral properties, especially against different strains of the influenza virus. Sambucol was shown to be effective in vitro against ten strains of the influenza virus. In a double-blind, placebo-controlled, randomized study, Sambucol reduced the duration of flu symptoms to 3-4 days. Convalescent-phase serum showed a higher antibody level to the influenza virus in the Sambucol group than in the control group. The present study aimed to assess the effect of Sambucol products on the healthy immune system – namely, its effect on cytokine production. The production of inflammatory cytokines was tested using blood-derived monocytes from 12 healthy human donors. Adherent monocytes were separated from PBL and incubated with different Sambucol preparations, i.e., Sambucol Elderberry Extract, Sambucol Black Elderberry Syrup, Sambucol Immune System and Sambucol for Kids. Production of inflammatory cytokines (IL-1 beta, TNF-alpha, IL-6, IL-8) was significantly increased, mostly by the Sambucol Black Elderberry Extract (2-45 fold), as compared to LPS, a known monocyte activator (3.6-10.7 fold). The most striking increase  in TNF-alpha production (44.9 fold).

How Effective Are Masks?

The World Health Organization and other experts report that a mask’s efficacy in social settings is inconclusive. But some health experts and mask makers say that properly used, the N95 respirator mask can guard against the new coronavirus.

Small droplets

These traditional masks are less effective with small droplets, as they can travel farther and in unpredictable paths affected by wind and other gusts. The droplets can be inhaled around the sides of the masks.

Masks

Touch

A coronavirus can also be transmitted by touching an object where airborne droplets have settled.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says it may be possible for a person to become infected by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose or eyes.

An analysis of 22 earlier studies of similar coronaviruses, including Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) published online this month in the Journal of Hospital Infection, concluded that human coronaviruses can remain infectious on inanimate surfaces for up to nine days at room temperature. However, they can quickly be rendered inactive using common disinfectants, and may also dissipate at higher temperatures.  It is not yet clear, however, whether the new coronavirus behaves in a similar way.

“On copper and steel it’s pretty typical, it’s pretty much about two hours,” CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield told U.S. lawmakers on Thursday, referring to how long the new coronavirus may be active on those types of materials. “But I will say on other surfaces – cardboard or plastic – it’s longer, and so we are looking at this.”

The agency said there is likely a very low risk of spread from products or packaging that are shipped over a period of days or weeks at ambient temperatures.

Our research is on gong. Therefore, we do not schedule a workshop, until a number of people want to attend. If you are interested please contact us with your choice of:
