Be a witness as we lose our last 75 lbs. and transition from a diet to a lifestyle. …. We:
Do not exercise (I have bad knees)
Do not take any doctor prescribed medications
Are not vegetarians or vegan
In the last 12 months I turned 84 and I have:
Lost over 100 lbs.
Reduced my blood pressure by 20 points,
Reduced my A1C to 5.3
Lowered my cholesterol
My PSA is now at 2.34
In the last 12 months my wife turned 78 and has:
Lost over 50 lbs.
A1C 5.3
Found a cure for acid reflux
During the last 12 months, we were not hungry. This was a diet, but now we have to change it to a lifestyle. It does not require money, just knowledge and practicing the keto process.
To Go to a Keto Lifestyle, you must:
Learn to like and eat different foods. … I am trying to learn to like Sardines, Avocado, Crabs, Fish, Clams, Sweet Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts, Black Soy Beans, Chia Seeds, 80% – 20% Hamburger Meat, pork rinds, and Quiche (real men will eat Quiche.)
How to prepare your food the keto way …. Learn to use Almond, Coconut or Lupin Flour instead of Wheat Flour: Ghee, Avocado Oil, Olive Oil instead of Canola Oil, Sunflower Oil, or Crisco, use ground pork rinds instead of bread crumbs. Use Stevia, Monk Fruit, or Alcohol Sweeteners instead of regular sugar.
The best time to eat food … No nighttime pizza. Eat before the sun goes down. Eating Carbs at night makes you fat and sleepy.
The Sustainable Living Center of Oregon sponsors this effort. Its purpose is to pass the information on this type of information at the lowest cost for a quality and sustainable lifestyle. Therefore, the Center will offer a free one-hour support group in the Lincoln City/Depoe Area.
There are two parts to successfully regaining your health on a Keto Lifestyle. First, there is the food we eat. This will eliminate cravings and stop the hormonal dysregulation that causes the body to store fat and not release it.
The second part is maintaining the belief in the efficacy of the Keto Lifestyle and sticking to this way of eating, even after shedding the excess weight. Supporting people and letting them know you are not alone is why this group exists.
Research has found that support from your family and friends is important for long-term weight loss success.
Different types of support can offer numerous benefits:
Emotional support: … A shoulder to lean on when things aren’t going as well as you’d hope.
Practical support: … Someone to join in with your Keto sessions or look after your children while you attend.
Inspiration: … Some days you won’t want to eat healthily. You may need someone in your life to keep you on the straight and narrow.
The Support Keto Group will meet in Depoe Bay on Tuesday from 2:00 -3:00 PM for six (6) weeks.
During the six weeks, every member will be taught how to lead the group if they choose.
The format will be:
Every group member will Check in with their weekly Keto adventure.
The Group Leader will use “Active Listening” to help each member express their Keto story.
Active Listening will be taught so that any group member could take over the leadership role. The group leader is NOT and SHOULD be presented as an Expert.
After the Check-in time, the group will view a Keto Expert who has some personal knowledge of how Keto affects their lifestyle. For example, how to reduce acid reflux. The group leader will call the Expert’s website and mirror the video to their TV for the entire group to see. The mirroring technique will be demonstrated to the group.
Steve with 217,000 subscribers and 531 videos SeriousKeto is keto for people who are serious about cooking but aren’t dogmatic about what keto must be.
YouTube will be used at present. Eventually, the Keto Expert videos will be on a separate server, with a small cost to access them. The group may ask questions and get video answers to each question.
Our purpose is to develop a format that anybody will a Keto interest can start an group and spread this Lifestyle
We will be starting another group at a different time in another city, and you can do the same.
