What the secret?
Narrow Channel & Special Built Trap
Siletz Bay is a large Bay one (1) mile south of Lincoln City in area called Taft.
All of the Crab that come into the Bay have to go through a narrow channel.
Children as young as eight (8) standing on the beach, armed with our specially built Crab Trapper can throw the trap into the narrow channel.
They throw like they are lassening something.
They will catch Crab every 5 – 8 minutes

The Crab Dinner Guarantee Club
No one can Guarantee you catch a Crab every time you go Crabbing. But as a member of the Club, and when you rent or purchase Crab traps (the first time) from Siletz Rentals (at a 20% member discount), you are Guaranteed you will eventually catch your “Keeper” dinner… CLICK HERE

If you do not catch a “Keeper” on your first try, you are Guaranteed the unrestricted use of one (1) Crab Trap, bucket, and gauge for 3 hours/day every day until you catch at least one male Dungeness “Keeper.”
A Dungeness “Keeper” measures five 3/4″ across the shell. If you miss one on your first visit, the offer is still valid any following year or years.

We teach families with children how to catch, clean, and cook Crab so they can always have food to eat. During the first part of 2021, we help 41 families with children between the age of 8- 11 years old learn how to crab from the beach and get them ready for dinner.

We furnished a Free Crab Trapper Set – consisting of one (1) Kid’s Crab Trapper Trap, Bucket, Crab Gauge, location, and instructions – for three hours to Crab from Siletz Bay and Depoe Bay
