Paddle Down Wildlife River & Visit Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge

siletz riverPark your vehicle at our private Siletz Kayak Launch location   You and your rented Kayak will be taken 6 miles up the Siletz River for a easy 4 hour float\paddle down river to  our Rental location.  Along the way you may visit the  Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge.  We provide everything:  transportation,  water craft, paddles, life jacket, invasive species permit and parking for one vehicle.

The Siletz River representing some of the most photogenic  along the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway,  Note that the dominant tree in this area is the Douglas Fir, which thrives in the damp hills and mountains along the Oregon Coast.

 

 

 

 

rsgle1These days, Bald Eagles and other raptors roost on salt-killed snags, and a variety of estuary-dependent birds including Great Blue Heron, Great Egret and many species of waterfowl forage in the tidally-influenced waters.

 

 

 

 Four (4) hour Rental Rates 

$50 for 4 hours – one-person kayak.

$70 for 4 hours – 15 ft family 2 – 4 person canoe

$70 for 4 hour 12 ft tandem kayak

$90 for 4 hour 15 ft three person kayak

Paid Guides for Downriver Float

  • Tours at fixed times every day, see below schedule times.
    • $15/hour first person in party
    • $8/hour additional 2-3 people
    • $2/hour additional 4-25 people
  • ½ hour instruction on land with guide.

We only rent at the certain times since our location is where the Siletz River meets the Pacific Ocean at the Siletz Bay; therefore, the tides directly affect the water level.

$20 for Special Up-River Transportation Option ….. Transportation per craft & its occupants 6.7 miles up the Siletz River.  Float Down 5 miles and arrive at the optimum time for a your visit of the Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge at High Tide.

Kayak rentals include kayak, paddle, life jacket, invasive species permit and parking for one vehicle.

 Waring:  The area of Siletz River nearest the mouth of the bay (near the office) often has unpredictable high winds and waves.

Wearing a personal flotation device (PFD) is mandatory.
