You may visit the Siletz Bay National Wildlife Refuge and experience 5 miles of the Siletz River. We provide everything: transportation, map, watercraft, paddles, life jacket, invasive species permit and parking.

The Siletz River representing some of the most photogenic along the Pacific Coast Scenic Byway, Note that the dominant tree in this area is the Douglas Fir, which thrives in the damp hills and mountains along the Oregon Coast.
These days, Bald Eagles and other raptors roost on salt-killed snags, and a variety of estuary-dependent birds including Great Blue Heron, Great Egret and many species of waterfowl forage in the tidally-influenced waters.
We only launch once a day at our location at 82 Siletz Highway. This is because the Siletz River meets the Siletz Bay and that location and is greatly affected by the level of the tide.
Call for best launch times. If you want to go at other times, we have to take you upriver. The upriver launch time has a larger launch time. Take the listed launch below less 2 to 5 hours. For example on 9/1 the upriver launch time is from 10:06 Am to 1:06 PM.
Kayak rentals include kayak, paddle, life jacket, invasive species permit and parking for one vehicle.
Waring: The area of Siletz River nearest the mouth of the bay (near the office) often has unpredictable high winds and waves.
Wearing a personal flotation device (PFD) is mandatory.
We are located under the north end of the Hwy 101 bridge over the Siletz River. The Siletz Bay Nation Wildlife Refuge in on the south end of the bridge.
