When an adult accompanies a child, ages 8-12, the Sustainable Living Center of Oregon will furnish a Free Crab Trapper Set – one (1) Kid’s Crab Trap, Bucket, Crab Gauge, location, and instructions for the child – for up to three hours .

- An eight-year-old child should be able to handle our Crab Trap
- Children under 12 are allowed Crab without a license all year long.
- Our mission is to teach children how to catch, clean, and cook Crab so they can always have Food. CLICK HERE To sign up.

Each child’s family makes a refundable deposit for the Crab Sets, and they provide the bait. The kids have to provide their bait. The Crabs will eat about one chicken drumstick/hour/trap. The bait can be any meat, but dark, raw chicken works best. There is no limit to the number of Crab sets with a deposit per family.
The guarantee ensures we get our Crab sets back, and there is only charge if the Crab Set is returned.) The deposit may be a credit/debit card or cash.
If desired, we will teach the teens and parents how to clean and cook the Crab.
We will clean and cook all a person’s Crabs @ $2.50/Crab ready for a Crab Dinner for the family.

- 10 rinsed milk jugs/crab
- 10 rinsed two (2) liter soda bottles/crab
- 20 rinsed water bottles/crab
- 3 rinsed blue Downey bottles/crab
- 3 rinsed orange Tide containers/crab
